A montage of neutral colours, ample natural materials, and cleverly designed spaces, this 2600-square-feet large apartment for a young couple and their two children—located at Pebble Bay in Bengaluru—is an embodiment of transforming an abode to make room for functional, everyday living while preserving its soul. 
In order to optimise the space to its maximum potential, existing walls had to be done away with, creating partition walls that would cleverly accommodate the rooms. For instance, the wall in the passageway at the entrance is rendered a curved contour to lend softness. While the overarching intention was to bring the understated elegance of the home to the fore, the challenge involved a pragmatic use of both time and resources at hand. Aligning with the clients’ need for storage, provision was made for almost every object, resulting in a decluttered, streamlined space.
